Your Journey Begins Here
-
Super simple! Send your resume to hello@footprintplacements.com.au or apply through our job board on our website. You can apply for a specific role or our general pool—just let us know what type of position you're after so we can match you properly.
-
Here's how it works: After your interview, we'll send you a link to upload your referee details. We'll also point you in the right direction regarding mutual recognition of your teaching registration and start discussing the different opportunities, locations, and incentives available. Once we receive 2 positive references back, you're officially in our pool and we begin presenting you to positions that match what you're looking for. The reference stage usually takes the longest, but if you follow up from your end too, it can move pretty quickly!
-
You'll need to be an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen, Australian resident, or have the correct visa to work in Australia. You must also have teaching registration in Australia or New Zealand if seeking a teacher position. If you're a New Zealand teacher with NZ registration, we welcome your application and can point you in the right direction regarding Australian teaching registration.
The Opportunities Waiting for You
-
We place much more than just classroom teachers! We've got teaching roles across primary, secondary, early years, and specialist areas. We also usually have leadership positions available, including principals, deputy principals, and senior teachers. Beyond teaching, we have director, room leader, and coordinator positions in early years services. Sometimes we also have counsellor, wellbeing, and coordinator roles available. Most of our placements are in primary teaching and child care centres, but we also work with not-for-profit organisations. We place educators and professionals across government, independent, and Catholic schools. Whether you're looking for a short-term gig or something longer, we've got options.
-
It's totally flexible! Placements range from 4 weeks up to a full year. Most are term-based or longer, which gives you stability and lets you really make an impact in the community. You can chat about what works best for you during your interview.
-
Join our successfully placed educators across Western Australia, Northern Territory, and Queensland. We work in incredible locations including the Pilbara, Kimberley, Coral Coast, and Mid West in WA; Central Australia, Arnhem Land, and the Top End in NT; and Far North Queensland. Whether you're drawn to remote desert communities, coastal towns, or island placements, we've got opportunities that match your adventure.
What You’ll Need!
-
You'll need teaching registration in Australia or New Zealand to apply for teaching roles. If you're registered in one Australian state and want to teach in another, we can help you navigate mutual recognition after your interview or once you've decided which state you'd like to work in. You can apply for your Working With Children check at the same time. We'll guide you through the whole process. For non-teaching roles like director, coordinator, or wellbeing positions, requirements may differ—just chat with us about your specific role!.
-
Nope! We work with plenty of professionals who've never worked remotely before. That's why we offer Cultural Competency training through the Stronger Smarter Institute and Trauma Responsive Practice training through the Australian Childhood Foundation.
-
You'll need a driver's licence and relevant qualifications for your role (teaching registration for teaching positions, or appropriate qualifications for director, coordinator, or wellbeing roles). Beyond that, we look for educators and professionals who are adaptable, passionate about making a difference, and genuinely interested in supporting remote communities.
-
We welcome applicants from New Zealand with NZ teaching registration! We can point you in the right direction regarding Australian teaching registration requirements.
