Footprint Placements connects outstanding people with meaningful work across remote and regional Australia — from remote communities and coastal towns to cities like Darwin and Mount Isa. We began in education, and it's still close to our heart — teachers, school leaders and the people who support them remain a big part of what we do. But the communities we work with need more than classrooms to thrive, and so does our work. Think the Kimberley, Arnhem Land, Pilbara, Far North Queensland, Top End and the Red Centre.

Today we place people teachers, across education and school support, community and wellbeing, youth work, and roles that care through environment and conservation. What ties it together isn't a job title. It's a belief that where you live shouldn't limit the quality of the people beside you.

We know these places because we've lived, travelled and worked in them. That shapes everything — how honestly we talk to candidates about life away from the cities, and how carefully we match a person to a community, not just a vacancy.

We work with schools, not-for-profits and community organisations who come back to us because we listen closely and get the brief right. We're a small team doing considered work in parts of Australia most agencies never reach.

Moving to a remote or regional community can feel daunting, but Footprint Placements is here to guide you. Whether you’re moving independently or with family, we can assist with questions regarding accommodation, pets, children’s education and the practical details to help with the transition.

Our goal is to connect remote and regional communities with exceptional teachers, education, community and environmental professionals. With strong community connections, professional growth and financial incentives, our placements are ideal for those seeking a rewarding new challenge, career progression or their next opportunity in remote and regional Australia.

At Footprint Placements, we’re committed to helping you feel prepared and supported, that’s why we provide:

Cultural Competency course by the Stronger Smarter Institute
Trauma Responsive Practice in Education by Australian Childhood Foundation (3 month plus placements)
First Aid Course (6 month plus placements)

Further potential benefits provided by the employer may include accommodation, financial incentives, flights, relocation, utilities and even partner employment.
